Top 10 GoalKeepers
Manuel Neuer ( Bayern Munich/ Germany)
The World cup winner and Bundesligia
Champion is no doubt currently the world's best shot stopper. He is also known
as the sweeper keeper and acts as the 5th defender when in need, He
is remarked as the best shot ceaser during round of penalties and was one of
the three finalist for the fifa ballon d'or 2015 and tops the place amongst
the best keepers.
Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus/ Italy)
Yes the Italian giant will be placed on the 2nd spot. He is eminent and sharp with his calibre as a goalkeeper and at the age of 37 is still as one of the best. He is still the no.1 choice for both club and country.
David De Gea(Manchester United/Spain)
It was really hard for the 3rd
spot but David should be on the 3rd place, with giving back to back
to amazing performances for Manchester United who are currently not playing
well, David has been their to save them, with the poor defence of United David
has been their ray of hope and is also considered as the long term successor
for Iker Casillas for Spain.
Thibaut Courtois( Chelsea/ Belgium)
Winning the La Liga wasn’t enough for this
young lad who now has returned to Chelsea to help them win the Premier league.
At just 22 he has emerged to be as one of the best keepers in the world and as
said by courtois himself he is never nervous and will not fear penalty
shootout. Well I must say that this attitude will lead him being the world's
no.1 keeper.
Hugo Lloris(Tottenham hotspurs/ France)
With amazing
performances for Tottenham Lloris has boasting a long reach and superb
reflexes, The French captain is capable of keeping strikers at bay when his
team are firmly under the cosh. He was signed by Tottenham in August
2012 as they looked for a long-term option between the posts. Must improve his
decision making but an undisputed first choice for club and country.
Petr Cech (Chelsea/ Czech Republic)
Currently playing for Chelsea cech has
always been a consistent performer with making few errors and helping Chelsea
to Win three premier league titles and a champions league. He recovered from a
fractured skull sustained in a controversial challenge by Reading’s Stephan
Hunt in 2008 and now holds the 6th position in best goalkeeper list.
Iker Casillas(Real Madrid/ Spain)
You just cannot hate this person, he also
known the ‘Saint Iker’ and before being dropped for much of 2012-2013 and
2013-2014 seasons he was considered as the worlds best goalkeeper and continues
to remain a club legend. Casillas always had problem with inadequate defence
infront of him but that always made him show his class with his acrobatic stops and by putting his body on the line when his team needed him the most.
Joe Hart(Manchester City/ England)
The Manchester city stopper possessed with
calmness and authority has made a huge contribution to City’s title win in 2012
season. Though Hart needs to improve his handling and minimize his errors which
proves costly to his club and country, Hart holds the number 8 postion on our
list.
Samir Handanovic(Inter Milan/ Slovenia)
Plays for Inter Milan the 6ft 5inch
stopper. He showed his class when he conceded only 4 fours in 10 matches while
qualifying for 2010 world cup, with his agility and penalty saving he has been
the spine of Slovenia team and Inter Milan.
Salvatore Sirigu (PSG/ Italy)
The Paris Saint German team that has won 2
consecutive league, 1 title is largely made up of expensive superstars, But
goalkeeper Sirigu doesn't quite fit into that category. He has been superb
since his arrival from Palermo and is likely to be the successor to the
legendary Buffon for his national team.
